Just bought my first Mustang 1998 GT 4.6L. What are the steps to make it fast now?

sorry everyone meant to get back to the thread. well like couple people said i really can afford a cobra or mach 1 at this point. i just bought this car and im going to stick with it. i mean if i cant really do anything to it and you guys says its not worth it u no better then me i will just be happy with what i got. other then that i might do the pi headswap, gears, and exhaust because that seemed like a pretty popualr repsonse also. im sure i will be happy with that. thanks for all the answers everyone and sorry it took so long for me to get back.

the point of most people saying that is because the stuff you want to do to make your car fast costs just as much as buying a cobra/mach1, after you sell your car, of course. i've seen cobras and mach1's running for between 9k-12k in pretty good condition. give it some thought.
