Depends what the width of your wheels. If you have an 8" wheel, and I believe you do, you are really only to go as wide as a 245 for a proper fit. What size tires do you have now? (all three numbers please)

Jazzer

PS. Next time you have tire/wheel fitment questions, head over to the Tire & Wheels section and will find yours truely waiting at your service to help

if its the "waffle" wheels as they are called, probably nothing more than a 235 width tire as they are only 16x7 wheels.

Thanks for the quick replies, the car now has the wrong wheels on it with 235-55-16. I believe the wheels came from a late model 6 cylinder car. I will be putting on the factory stock wheel for a 96 GT. I went to a local Town Fair Tire store and the guy there said 225-55-16 on the front and 255-50-16 in the rear should fit without any problem. Jazzer now that I know where to find you if I have any more tire question I will go to the wheel and tire section.
