The had a bad knee and can't drive manuals. He had some people look at it and pass because it's an auto. But I had a hell of a time finding an auto. I bet you down the road most all the remaining machs will be manuals and the autos will be rarer.

awesome car!! you came out pretty good man, nice find.


im sure you already know by now, but the auto machs had a cast crank while the manuals have a forged one. thats probably why it was looked over in the past.

I did not know that about the cranks. I think they were overlooked as people want the car in a manual for the fun factor.

How much (power) can the cast crank hold up to as opposed to the forged?

Nobody has ever seem to have a cast crank go even with forged pistons/rods

redline is like 1k less on the autos also if im not mistaken, also the top speed was limited to like 132, otherwise I had an auto 03 mach 1 and loved it

I really don't get excited about things, but I'm starting to a little with this. Can't wait to have it home in the driveway !
