Well...the nipple broke off.
Well as I was driving on the freeway my car started to paint it with coolant. It turns out the nipple at the back of my intake manifold that hoses to the heater core broke off. Plastic with age, heat just deteriorated. So I ordered another PI manifold cause the car is near stock. I'll go aftermarket when I decide what to do with the car. But what else should I look out for? Anything else I should do maintenance on while it's torn apart? Do I need new gaskets? How much coolant does my car take?

Yes...replace the manifold gaskets when installing the new manifold. No real need to replace anything else, unless you really want to. It would be fairly easy to replace your spark plugs with the manifold off, but that's only if you need it.

Any particular manifold gaskets I should buy? Would ones from an auto parts store be sufficient or should I go to Dealership parts department and purchase them there? Any idea how much coolant my car would need? What about the o-rings for my injectors do those need replacing too?
