If youre gonna swap them out down the road, get flat tops with valve reliefs and then put the 38cc heads and your hitech stage 2's on and you'll be golden. Then when you need less compression you can get new pistons and lower the compression since thats what youre saying youre gonna do anyways.

Well hell...lol imma just stick w/ the 18cc just so that im set up and ready...ill just be gettin a set of some CMS blower cams. Im gonna have the 44cc w/ 18cc pistons and my hitechs. Once it gets back ill be gettin the 3.73s installed as well. Then im DONE for a while lol. The cams should work alright w/ those heads and pistons right...should be plenty of clearance?? Imma get them degree'd but still lol

yea, you can run a .600 lift cam on the stock bottom end without notching pistons with the TFS heads, but just get valve reliefs in them though for safe measure. So did they end up pulling your old motor apart yet? Are you going after the guy that installed your cams wrong?

NTriangle: Did you ever run the car before the blower w/ that motor setup??

Teej: Well the mechanic that the car is with now says that it could be many things besides faulty installation...when my intake blew coolant may have seeped in and caused too much pressure. When it blew the motor could have gotten really hot (i was runnin it hard) and caused failure. He said it is impossible for him to just pin it on one thing.

But we did call the shop 3 times and they just never answered...so idk.

When you say valve reliefs where can i find those??? Summit? MMR? D.S.S??

DSS overcharges for everything in my opinion. Buy the stuff individually and then have a machine shop balance it for you.
