Default Kenne Bell question

Hey guys,

I have an auto GT with the mods listed below. And i was looking into possibly getting a 2.1 Kenne bell down the road and running probably 9 lbs of boost. The dyno place i wanna go to has dynapack which are supposedly state of the art when it comes to dynos, but i've heard that they do inflate the numbers a bit. I was wondering if you guys think that 350-400rwhp is out of the question for an auto. I do have sniper tuning and was thinking about upgrading to commando if i get the kenne bell to get better tuning. So im wondering what you think i would put down as far as numbers go. Thanks guys! And on another note i was looking into getting H & R SS springs and getting C/C plates. Do you guys think that new shocks and struts are a neccesity with that type of drop or no? Thanks again.

Id say that 350-400 is definatley possible with your mods! And i mean depends on your mileage...I think id go ahead and get new shocks/struts just to complete the package.

i would say 350 side is more likely than 400. honestly the only HP mod your gonna have other than the blower is a catback which isnt even good for much power. if you had some longtubes and a midpipe you'd be another 20+ higher but i don't see 400rwhp on an essentially stock auto staying with a safe tune.

and as far as tunes go it sounds like your getting mail order tunes? please dont. let the shop tune it.

Well i was just stating the range lol. I wasn't saying "You're getting 400hp". But I would invest in some supporting mods to go w/ the s/c. Like stated above, LTs, and a mid pipe, you'd see some real difference.

Also have a custom tune made...then you can take full advantage of the s/c w/ your setup.

Hes got sniper so he can do his own tuning. Thats not an issue, well it is if he doesnt know what he is doing. But I think that 370rwhp is doable with an o/r midpipe. I would like to suggest that if you are doing the H&R SS springs and C/C plates that you get new dampers. Its not necessary but it is highly highly recommended as putting your shocks and struts that low in their opperating range will wear them out very quickly and will cause a harsh ride, harsher than it has to be. So for better handling and ride quality, look into bilstein hd's. they will work perfect for you.

Well, i was planning on getting the commando package and having a dyno tune done if i do get the sc, as well as the supporting mods that go along with it. But, teej281 i have a question, as far as the bilstein hd shocks and struts go, where is the cheapest place to get them? Im trying to get the best deal i can on the shocks and struts.

I was also looking at Tokico Hp shocks and struts from american muscle, have you guys heard anything as far as how good those shocks and struts are for the lowering kit i want along with the C/C plates?

The bilsteins are going to be far better than the tokicos my friend. I just deal directly with MM and buy all my stuff through them. I know the HP's are cheaper but the bilsteins will handle a lot more of what you will throw at them than the HP's. They are more expensive, but you really do get what you pay for when youre talking suspension parts. Thats why im blowing 1592 out the door with MM on new Sport valved Bilsteins and full coilovers, because they are the best for street and track. But MM has the HD's for $628 plus shipping and MM makes special C/C plates for the bilstein shocks and struts to maintain the dust boots as most do not allow use of the stock dust boots. HD's are really where its at man. Youre going to have great ride quality and supurb handling. Any other questions, feel free to PM me or just ask here.
