Default 1996 Mustang Gt 4.6 V8 wont start

car is turning over but it wont start. I was on the hwy and my a/c suddenly started blowing hot air and the car went from 70mph down to 40 mph then it jumped a couple of times up to 50 mph then slowly started dying on me until it shut off. I replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, and the cam sensor. also checked the cut off switch and the fuse for the fuel pump. tried to start the car after all of that and its still turning over but its slowly dying like the battery is going out...attached the jumper cables and did the same thing. need some obvious help !

well that eliminates the AC from the ball game at least!
Dumb question but did you ever thow a Check Engine Light? And if so what were the codes? Seems like if it turns over but feels like its dying even with a set of jumpers, that power must be going somewhere...seems like something is causing a LARGE current draw. Check the voltage at the battery and monitor it real-time while someone cranks it, do it with and without jumpers connected and see how much it drops when you try to start it.

Im not saying it is the battery, but if you monitor the voltage on the battery, it may give an indication that something else is drawing from it while you try to start it. Maybe the started is effed up? I can't imagine how that would have affected you originally though while you were driving. This is strange...
