Default Help me determine which route..

Hey guys, finally putting my foot down and sticking with a build that is realistic and one that I can complete by next spring! Will you guys give me some feedback? please keep in mind - Either setup I choose, I will be running intercooled at low boost (while saving for built bottom end/rods/etc. etc.)

Option 1 - longtubes/offroad X, pieced together Vortech T Trim, conservative dyno tune, CMS stage 2's

Option 2 - longtubes/offroad X, Kenne Bell 2.1 intercooled, CMS stage 2's, conservative dyno tune

Ultimately I'm asking whether I should invest the extra 1500-2000 up front to go with a KB 2.1 or start off with a T trim and see how I like it...Thoughts/opinions??? To start, I'm looking for 400/400 to the wheels and this will be a weekend warrior.

Thanks guys!

Option 2 without the cams. That will be too much for the bottom end to handle.

+1 to teej. If you actually have the money to spend go with a kb. Also i'd say H pipe but thats just my opinion.

What do we work for anyways? If I'm going to do it, I'm going to do it right the first time. Its only taken me a year to determine build plans...lol

if your gonna drop the cash on a kb you might as well go turbo... its only a little bit more.

I know how sick some Turbo setups can be...but I'm not crazy about turbos on mustangs. Just my opinion....I'm going either T trim or a used 2.1KB.

^I've been talking to the OP and he's looking for used so a little bit more to go turbo from KB but still an option. I have been leaning toward the instant torque here lately as well. I dont know really why but i'm going with the tt/eaton next summer.

u can eliminate a lot of turbo "lag" by getting a smaller turbo

Exactly... im working on designing a setup for my car when the time comes. i want to design the system to only be around 350-400 rwhp. That mean smaller turbo and easy spool.

I'd do option 2.
