it completely depends on your driving record. with a reasonably clean driving record and NO at fault accidents, insurance isnt that bad. when you start tacking on tickets and accidents, insurance goes through the roof. a while back i was paying about 100$ a month full coverage, now i'm paying 240 because of some unfortunate things (wrecked my car into a telephone pole after i got jumped by 3 people, then i rented a car which was damaged when i got it and i didnt know i should look at the car BEFORE signing the paperwork, so they put another claim on my insurance). from 100$ up to 240$ now, and if it was a cobra it would be even worse. BEFORE my accident, it would have only been about 20 bucks more for an 03/04 cobra.

i say the GT because i dont like the looks of an sn95...new edge is way better, and its fairly cheap to mod if you dont mind if you're not the fastest on the road

If it was a 99 Cobra then it would be a no brainer. A 98 Cobra can be very fast but the new edge looks so much better.

I agree with Darkshadow04. The 4 valve is great, but the looks and cost of modding goes to the new edge 2 valve hands down IMO.

So the 99-04 gt engine is easier to mod? I was under the impression that they both used the same engine as they are both dohc 4.6l! Are they different? BTW what makes the 99/01 cobras 20 hp more powerful?

No. The GT is a single over head cam car, the cobra is a dual overhead cam car. The added 20HP comes from a redesigned head and intake.
