Default mach 1 hood mounting question.

ok so i have a 2000 gt. and iv looked into putting an 03-04 era mach 1 shaker hood and shaker kit on it. my question is will it mount up and do i need something special for the shaker kit since the mach 1 hood is taller then my stock GT hood. Thanks.

CDC themselves would probably be the best and quickest answer for this one, being that you're planning on mixing and matching parts. Not too many people here with shaker kits.

true i have a cdc shaker kit and th plastic part that goes on th hood flew off at 130+mph when i was in germany so i ended up getting an aftermarket mach1 hood from carpartswholesale for like $300 or smthn cant remember the exact price but that hood has a high bulge like the mach1 hood so it should work bc i have the cdc shaker and put spacers under the bracket to bring it up a bit to flow right with th look of the hood. not sure if they still sell th hood though.

i did this a while back to my gt.

you're gonna need the big black bracket that holds the shaker to the engine.
i had to make two front brackets to hold the front of the big black bracket.

then i made a bracket for the back. it's pretty simple. these pics are similar to what i did. hope these help

i used the 2 bolts where the throttle cable is attached to the plenum to attach the back bracket.

i think the spacers that i used ontop of the alternator were only like 1" tall instead of 2" like pictured.
