Installing Mac LT's?

I am installing some Mac LT's on my buddies 2003 GT for him and I wanted to know if I really need to drop the K member or if I can just jack the motor up to gain clearence? I did the install on my S197 car and I didn't have to drop the K member. Also how long do you think it will take to do the install? And is there anything he needs besides the LT's and H-pipe to complete the install. Does he need a tune?
Thanks,
Brett

I did the install without dropping the k member. He needs o2 extensions for the front to complete the install besides socket extensions and swivals obviously. lol as for the time it honestly depends on what problems you run into.

Get a set of Percys header gaskets and Stage 8 locking header bolts.

I don't know how much of a difference there is but he's doing it on a New Edge..the 2 guys that said you don't need to drop the k-member don't have New Edge's lol

Shut me up if I'm that far off in saying that. Just an observation.

When I did mine I had a hard time getting to all the bolts so I dropped the K member. Gave all the needed clearance to install them easily. After doing it both ways I must say the k member way was easier and less frustating.

I also have the Percy gaskets and stage 8 locking bolts and haven't had an issue with either one.
