Run plain old old. I like Valvoline or Mobil 1. You need to put some miles on the motor before and if you decide to go synthetic.

Synthetic is nice, but how often are ya changing oil. If ya stick with the norm of 2-4K miles on your change go with the synthetic. If you change more often, IE...more race car than street car, you can run plain old Dino oil.

Now that the EPA is dictating what oil is all SM-GF4 spec oils are basically the same.

If you want extra antiwear additives like ZDDP you need to use a SL or SJ spec or a racing specific oil. There are some HD30 oils that are SL spec which means about 50% more ZDDP on the shelf that are perfect for summertime use (but don't use below 40F or so)

Whatever is on sale. I get the O-Reilly ad at the first of each month and look for good deals. Last month I got Mobil Clean 5000...bought 6 quarts of it for $10 out the door. I generally look for a Mobil or Pennzoil product.
