Default TKO fix finally! UPDATE 8-14

Gonna haul the trans up to Bob Hanlon tomorrow to install the new lined blocker rings that Bob developed to remedy the high RPM shifting issue the TKO's have. I'll keep everyone updated when I get it back! BTW the new MM&FF (Sept. 10) has an article on them.

Thanks!
It's been a nightmare, especially at the strip!

Are faceplated TKO's any better or does the same problem still exist?

Arnt TKOs racing marketed transmission? WhyTF do they have high RPM shifting issues?

You ask Tremec that very same question and they tell you it's not intended for race applications

Well thanks for this post Fred, a tko was next mod on my list to replace my abused t45 (eventhough that poor t45 got whooped but still operates 100% without issues yet). I know a tko is alot easier to swap in that a t56 because all you need is a driveshaft spacer i beleive if you can enlighten me a little more on that. But staying with a standard shift what trans would be good to swap in besides a tko?
