Default What hardware attachment would allow me to do this?

Well my Shift light was here:

But now the plastic holder has expanded and contracted so much from heat that it has become inoperable. My idea is to bore a hole in the shifter bezel and flush mount the light on the opposite side of the 12v power supply. It will look great if I do it correctly(also Iv never seen this done in another mustang).

What piece of hardware will allow me to attach a cylindrical object perpendicular to the mounting surface without using a drill screw? I know they make hexagonal nuts that screw through a bored hole but that will not hold the light in place as well. Does anyone know what I could use?

The picture shown is just a random google pic. the red dot shows the approximate location of what I want to do.. it will be centered and matched up with the 12v source though..dont worry lol.

Are you asking what will hold it in the hole after you stick it in the hole? lol

Hardy har har. Yes.

Its a simple solution really, all i need is a piece of posterboard or cardboard(cut a hole in it) glue it to the shift light and 3m tape that to the bezel. BUT, im looking for a more adjustable solution.

The only thing I could think of is to fabricate something similar to the bezels that are used to mount the 2 1/16" gauges
