Default Two tone paint jobs???

After about a 4 month search I picked up a '00 GT two weeks ago. Got an awesome deal, motor and trans only have 47k on a full rebuild, but it's a bit of a "bodyman special" because other than the roof, there's not a panel on the car that doesn't need some kind of attention. I'm a bodyman myself, so I couldn't pass up the deal. I'm contimplating a two tone, or a Shelby stripe paint job, if anyone can post pics of their custom painted '99-'04 body styles to give me some ideas that would be great. The car is currently black, and the two colors I would want to use are black again, tangerine (Chrysler code PVE) used on the dodge ram trucks.

Ideas????
Thanks!

I like the idea man. Post some pics of the car when you get a chance.... (unless I missed them on another thread, haha.)

Thats gonna be a great color combo...saw same colors on a 99 cobra split at the doorsill line all the way down the car. black on bottom-orange on top.

You don't happen to live near me and want to do some bodywork on my mustang for cheap cheap cheap do ya? lol

I decided to go ahead and paint my center dash panel to see if I liked the color. It needed to be done anyway cuz the previous owner had it all hacked up to fit a double din radio and I picked a new one up on eBay. Here are some pics...thoughts/opinions???

Well I like the color, I am just not a fan of painting interior plastic...

Here is what I meant by the split at the hood line...

Ok...a major mind change may have just taken place!!! I work in the body shop at a ford dealer, and we just got an '11 GT 5.0 in, paint code L6, blue. I'm in love! I think orange, and two tone are out! Now I think I'm going complete color change to that. Crap! Now I may have to do my dash again!!! I'll post pics if I can of the '11.

It's called Kona Blue. Apparently it was on the '10's also, I just haven't come accross one till now.

So after a lot of thought, and some discussion with some others, including my wife (she's awesome with color) I decided to go with the kona blue. I think I'm gonna do the whole car instead of two tone also. I didn't want to get involved with doing the door jambs, but oh well! Here's a pic of the redone dash. Pics do this color NO justice. I like it cuz it's subtle, but really pops in the sun.*

painting the interior looks cheesy IMO.

that aside..i really don't know what to think about two tone on these cars. some can pull it off while others not so much. i think your best bet with that color would be to paint only the roof black and the rest of the car blue. its kinda f-bodyish but i think it will look the best if you are set on two tone. i personally prefer a single color car though.

I like the Kona blue and I'm not a fan of painting interior plastics but that actually looks good.
