I got my 2000 GT for $8,000 about a year and a half ago with 37,000 miles, the only thing i do not like about my 2000 is it does not have a hood scoop. Do not run out and by the first gt you see just cause you want one really bad, look at a couple of different ones and compare what you like and dont like. you can find a nice one right now for $8,000 if you just look around.

I've always tried to get into the last production year of any car. Hence why I have an '04. My reasoning is that the company will have all the bugs worked out by then.

That's why I'm curious how the new 2011 5.0 will hold up and what kind of things pop up with those. Nothing may happen but you get my point.

I think the 03/04's have a TAD more hp...I could be wrong. Not saying like 50hp more...Maybe around 5-10 or something.

I HIGHLY suggest taking into account the type of person you buy from...teenager/adult, male/female. Ask how many owners the car had, and try to get a STOCK car (exhaust/cai/lowering springs are OK). If there is a lot done to it chances are it was beat on (heads/cams/gears/intake). Ask for any and all recipts they have for the car and don't believe just because they say "well maintained...oil changed every 3000mi". everyone will tell you that to sell the car. Check everything yourself.

Gooduck!

only thing i know different about 04's is that there are 40th anniversary badges and not GT badges, just try to stay away from 99's they were the first of the new edges and ford might not have fixed some of minor problems with them, i would say to look for 01-04 plus the 99-00 have the plain lookin rims and no hood scoop.

Sure there are a ton of new edge GT's out there, but some people have just done some absolutely STUPID things to them. It took me a year to find my GT, unmolested. Some r tards like to put stupid stripes and dumbass body kits on. Others screw up the interior with all these cheesy color schemes. So GOOD LUCK! haha

looks clean and stock, but how many miles???? I didn't realize the mach 1000 had two subs...for some reason I was thinking it had 1 10" sub. That thing ought to sound pretty damned good for a factory stereo.

I have the MACH1000 in mine....4 little amps and 2 10 inch subs. IMHO perfect combo for those who don't want to look like 16year old D-BAGS driving down the street and for those who are also like to listen to music pretty loud. Also has this beautiful ON/OFF feature for those who love to listen to their exhaust LOL
