Default Painting Rims - paint choice

Hey guys, so I'm pretty dead set on painting my rims black. I've done a lot of research on it, so I think I'm ready to move ahead. Well today I go into Advance Auto to look at the Duplicolor paint, and I found one that is called "Duplicolor Shadow." Its supposed to give the rims a black chrome look - and I was wondering if anyone has used it, and if it turned out well? I mean, if it turned out "badly" I figure it would just be black, which was my first choice. So.. has anyone heard of/used/seen this paint color?

I've refinished wheels with Duplicolor wheel paint. Holds up well if prep is done well enough and throw a couple coats of clear on. Be careful with the clear though, if you layer it too much, it will show up and look white on the black paint....Ask me how I know lol

How do you know? lol I was thinking 2 cans of clear spread over the 4 rims, or do you think that's too much?

I forget how much clear I used. I would say maybe even 3 cans....better of having some left over than not enough. Especially if you don't have have another car to pick up more.
