question about SCT X3
im about to order my O/R h hipe and the SCT X3, but i was reading through the reviews for the chip on AM and noticed that someone said that you have to take the tune off a week before you get your emissions tested or else it will fail??? the main reason i am getting the chip is so i can turn my o2 sensors off for my midpipe. so will i still not be able to pass emissions without cats?

is that just with that tuner or with all of them? my car is registered at my parents address but i am in school and live 3 hours away, so i can get exempt from emissions if i have to. but my check engine light will just be on. i have also heard that the MIL eliminators dont always work...

i used the sct tuner with o/r x-pipe and turned off the rear o2's and passed no problem. i have a brand new SCT livewire the expensive tuner ill sell ya, i dont need it its still in the box. ill let you have it for 400 bucks shipped youd pay that for a xcal3. there normally like $600+ but ill help ya out if you want.

oh ok well im gonna hold off on getting the tuner for now but i will in a little bit when i have more money to throw around. but if i just get my mid pipe installed with no chip to turn the 02 sensors off, will it make my car run differently? or is it just the check engine light?
