Random Toipc of the day: What made you pick a 96-04 GT?
What made you purchase a 4.6 GT out of all other cars out there to get? What were your main reasoning for it?
For me, my v6 00 got in a small accident and was at 260K miles. It was an automatic and you could tell it was seeing it's age. I wanted the 2010 GT, but then I heard about the 11 having 412 HP out the factory, so I was wowed. Unfortunately, I was 23 and just getting out of college and I'd rather invest my money in stocks and mutual funds and save for a house. A 2010-2011 would have been out the question for me, I don't want to get anything brand new til maybe 3-4 years from now when I'm more financially stable and at least have my own house.
I knew I wanted a Mustang again, I just wasn't sure of the year. Something newer than a 2001, for sure. I almost jumped on a Cobra, but I also wanted something I could daily drive and have more than 12 mpg in it. So I considered a Mach 1, but there were so few and far between to find any. They were either auto's (can't do an auto Mach), or really high mileage and still overpriced. I never considered the 05-09's, because quite frankly, I hate how they look so bulky and imo they don't really "wow" me at all. I found they're style kind of...boring actually, vs the 99-04 and 2010+ look. So, I knew I wanted at least a v8 rumble, something inexpensive, and something that would last me a while. Not looking to get into the 12's or anything, just something that's decently quick enough for me for now. So I looked into GT's from 02-04. Finally found the one in my sig, an 03 manual, with only 50K miles all for only 7K. No accidents, only two owners. This car screamed to me. Also, I wanted to be different and do yellow to stand out. And that's my story.

I love the SN95 body style, and hate pushrod engines. That about sums it up for me . Also helps that the price for a 96-98 GT is so cheap they make great project cars.
I cant wait to wax an LS1 with my little 2v when the kenne bell gets here.

I like the 99-04 myself. Just love the look. Was looking at GT's, then Machs, then back to GT's as Mach's were pricey. Then I found my Mach. Always loved the look of them.
As for motors, glad I have 4V but still prefer push rods.

I wanted a trans am or z28 but there was nothing I wanted price wise at the time. I got antsy and settled for the stang. Then 2 weeks later one of the dealers called me with a z28 with everything I was looking for, I wasn't happy.
