NICE! I got a o/r X with the magnapacks. The big diff between them and regular magnaflows is they continue to scream at higher rpm's.

MustangMan...yours sounds like my car, you running an o/r x as well?

Lizzyfan..I don't know if it's so much as drone or just sheer volume of noise lol. But it is not quiet in the cabin my any means. Ive been contemplating putting sound dampener on the rear floor over the hump and under the back seat to kill some of the noise/drone. Stuff does not come cheap though. For a 4'x6' sheet of 2 diff types of material (2 layers of protection) from Second Skin I was looking at $250.

You have a lift? You have to get the car pretty high off the ground to maneuver the over-axle pipes in/out....I would hate for you to cut your old one out then be stuck needing a lift to get the new one in...

the way the peices are, he shouldn't be having any problems.

worst comes to worst, he'll have to slightly drop the rear axle.

I'm speaking from experience. I swapped the mufflers on my catback to magnapacks with the rear tires up on ramps...no way the axle over pipe was coming out.

Diff story if he's able to get it high enough and support it under the frame letting the axle hang.

Congrats on the purchase. I have heard these in person on a buddies GT and after hearing them I kinda wish I went with the magnapacks over the regular Magnaflow. The regular Magnaflows are pretty quiet even with my exhaust being dumped lol

Same with me. I had my o/r x with regular magnaflows and it seemed that anything over 2500rpm they would not get louder...but then I was able to trade for the magnapacks and well, holy hell they just keep getting louder. im actually contemplating putting some cats on to bring that notorious 2K exhaust note at shifting down a little.

and im not? lol

i've never used ramps on anything. i've always used jackstands, so dropping the axle was always an easy option. but yeah, you're not getting the over axle hump out with the wheels on the ground.

OP: looks great! glad to hear you are liking it.

^ I don't know what exhaust you are running nor do I know if you have changed a CB before lol But Now I know that jackstands under the frame and the axle dropped lets you get it out.

Yes we demand videos!
