Thanks for all the compliments!
sonicx-the paint used was the same base/clear that's on the body of the car. As far as prep take it all apart (obviously) the vents just clip in from the back. Prep it per paint manufacturers recommendations for painting raw plastic... All the manufacturers have different methods (PPG, DuPpnt, etc.) hope this helps!

Did you get just car paint in your factory color or more specific did you get plastic paint in your car color? And if its plastic paint then where you rec. a good place to go for paint/ brand types?

I suggest going to ppgrefinish.com and following the links for locating a distributor. They'll be able to hook you up with everything you need. Some of it's not too cheap though. The raw plastic has to be treated with a special adhesion promoter or the paint will just flake off. Then top coat it with regular basecoat/clearcoat...same as the exterior.
