Default ANYONE HAVE ANY TRANSMISSION REMOVAL WRITE-UPS?

Hey guys -

Taking the tranny out tonight to replace the TOB. Does anyone know where I can find some legit transmission removal write-ups?

Thanks!

Do you have LTs?

Edit: this one seems pretty good.

Very easy then as long as you have mechanically experience.

Take out the shifter, raise vehicle, drain tranny, take exhaust off, unplug electrical connections, take off driveshaft, starter goes, support tranny and take out the bellhousing bolts. Once you get to the clutch and everything it is pretty self explanatory.

Check my first post for a write up.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. Be thankful that you don't have longtubes.

may i ask how many miles are on your clutch, flywheel, and pilot bearing as well?

if they have been in there for a while you may want to consider replacing everything especially since your doing longtubes soon. it would REALLY suck if after you get the longtubes on, your clutch takes a dump in 5,000 miles then you have to tear everything back apart...WITH longtubes on this time around.

Yea, I just took mine apart yesterday cuz of my TOB. But while I was in there, I looked at the clutch as well and decided to replace that, and the pilot bearing while it's apart. In my personal experience, the worst part of this job is probably the starter. There are 3 bolts. The first 2 are easy, the last one that's on top is a bit of a pain in the *****.
