The two step is dumping fuel in the exhaust and keeping the rpm's up, which will build the boost a bit, but you don't have the load that you do with an auto to spool the turbo.
foot brake it then. you can build enough boost with a two-step to launch with. And then if you powershift you wont lose your boost
I've been considering doing the turbo route but really love my 5sp. I have an MSD 2 step already to help with launching, how well are you building boost with it?
The two step does more for spool than you think. Backsides keeping the rpms up, it makes an extreme rich condition and the exhaust has a lot more mass which builds boost. Same principle that E85 allows quicker spool time...more exhaust mass means more mass to spin the turbine wheel.
and thats why im doing a fuel system this year to allow for e85!!!!! gonna be a build bottom end, some head work, maybe some cams and fuel system with e85....shooting for some 650hp numbers and some low 10second time slips! then put the auto in next year and go 9's hopefully!
