When you get your converter and look at it, what wannabe is describing will make complete sense. Most converters will mount in this manner. Locktite is not a bad idea, but keep in mind, you will have access to these nuts with the trans installed. Also, I would just go with the stock torque rating unless the guys that build your converter recommend something different.
