Default 5.0 guys were no help sooo.........

if anyone has some good knowledge it would be very helpful.
im posting this for one of my very close friends and i dont want to steer him in the wrong direction. i posted this in the 5.0 section already and they were no help at all except telling me that the e303 cam is junk. so, my question is my buddy has an 89 5.0 and he wants to put a bigger cam in, he has tf upper and lower with calibrated maf. can any of u guys recommend a good low maintenance cam and if it is necessary to change anything around such as rocker arms and springs?

I can't really help you out much, but I can almost guarantee you that if you call almost any cam manufacturer and tell them the setup and what you want out of it, they'll tell you exactly what to go with.

I never had a problem with a E cam ... What's the combo? SC in the future?

X & Z cams also an option!

get a bigger cam than an ecam. all the "letter" cams are old and there's much better ones out there now. the new comp lineup is saposed to be great for an ots cam. if your friend wants to do it right however he should go custom grind thru someone like jay allen. then it'll be EXACTLY what you're looking for. And with any cam swap, you're gonna wanna upgrade your valve springs, rockers, and most likely pushrods.

Comp xtreme energy cams... those are great cams for 5.0s. Very good gains.

That should be a pretty easy feat.
