I can't speak for the OP, but if I were looking at these as a daily driver, the extra power would be insignificant to me and I'd take the first best deal I found between the two. They're both great cars.

+1 very good point
if it was me I would take that into consideration when looking for a DD... if you're looking for something though that has some good performance for a DD I would look into getting a 550 or an M
German cars vs. japenese not in the same league. German cars handle and steering is unmatched. M45 are nice but would not buy one, they are like an over priced maxima if you ask me just with more power.
I am a BMW master tech so Im kinda partial. The BMW's handle better, I do really like the 550. That would be my pick as well, If you do get one make sure it is Certified BMW they can be high maintence cars and repaires are expensive. Just my 2cents
Thanks for feedback, I will definitely looked for a certified vehicle/extended warranty.
From your experience, is the 750i vs 550i way more expensive to maintain vs. 550i? This is one concern buying a 7 series with a retail sticker of close to 90k.
Didnt read all this mumbo jumbo. Long story short, Acura TL. Cheap, nice, good performance, reliable. Most importantly, wont cost you an arm and a leg to repair.

Agreed. I had a 2004 TL, 6-speed, and it was a slick car. Pretty quick to boot and I got fantastic MPGs
He may not be into FFs, either. I know I hate the way they drive, and there's a tech article out there somewhere by Audi about the limitations of the FF platform.
