to do longtubes. you either need to unbolt the motor and lift it up, or drop the k member off the car. either way, its a good days job with a couple hands. so 500$ is actually very reasonable depending where you live. i believe people have posted that they have had to pay 1000$ for the labor....just depends where you live.
I just found my receipt for the swap; came out to about $89 with tax... I guess I was smoking some crack! I would have done it myself, but I'm not comfortable putting a car on jack stands where I live right now.

I think I paid around $600 for my longtubes installed on my cobra.

$500 is not a bad price if the shop is a good one and will do excellent work. I wouldn't let just anyone do this for me. You need to trust that the shop will pay attention to details as they re-install everything. A loose header bolt will make you crazy later since they are a hassle to get to. You also want to be sure they do a good job reassembling the front end components.

Bottom line... $500 is decent if they are a solid shop.
I paid $450 or $475 (I don't remember which) in NC to have mine installed.

Most price quotes I've seen are around the 300-400 price range. so i'd say you're getting just about average pricing

I charge $250 and it take me at the most 3 hours but I'm not a shop with alot of overhead so $500 sounds about right.
