Default Fuel Injectors

I just installed 24# injectors on my car and the car runs much smoother then before when I had a intermittent shudder.. now I have a check engine light... would that be because of the upgraded injectors without a tune? I haven't gone to get codes yet but I'm thinking thats the issue..

But it's OK to waste our time with a stupid question?

Of course you need to alter the tune, the injectors you chose to install are almost 15% higher capacity than the OEM units.

The car will now be running 15% rich in open loop and in closed loop the short term fuel trims will be centered around -15 to -20% leaving no room for further adjustment to allow for IAT, ECT, fuel quality, etc.

That is likely what is throwing the code(s)--however we don't actually know that and could provide much better feedback if the code(s) were known.

Get them read and post back...

sorry thats such a huge burden for you to stop on your daily activities but without knowing what the code is ACTUALLY for, there is no ACCURATE help that can be given. CEL can be any of hundreds of things, which may or may not even be related to your injector changes. like cliff said, you require a tune when you change injectors, but we can't tell you what the yellow light on your dash means until you tell us what your car says is wrong.

since you only read the parts you wanted to i'll repeat...

just because your car is running rich doesn't guarantee thats what the CEL is for.
