Basically it boils down to this......FAST or CHEAP...PICK ONE. No matter what, going fast costs $$ and depending on how fast you want to go, depends on how much $$, time, skill and knowledge YOU HAVE.

Even if you can fab piping and piece together a viable turbo kit or piece together a S/C kit, there are still SO MANY other SUPPORTING parts that are CRUCIAL in your desire for being fast. Fuel systems, safety systems, suspension, etc are gonna get into your pockets. You gotta feed that home done turbo/SC kit, you want to be safe, right and 1000RWHP is useless unless you can put it to the ground.

So, I guess my point is...when planning a build...WHAT KIND OF CAR DO YOU WANT? Street car or race car and really, How fast is fast to you?

So you're saying run a centri blower and a single turbo into a twin screw? That outside the box enough for ya? Talk about compound boost!

I'm a turbo fan through and through. You can get a procharger or vortech for cheap and it's a easy way into decent power.

But as others have mentioned, if you lay a turbo dyno graph over a centrifugal dyno graph you're going to really see the difference. The power band is going to be very broad on the turbo car and the torque curve is going to kill the s/c car.

There is plenty of reason to run a turbo car, even within the stock short blocks limits.

Umm, an on 3 turbo costs 3,600 installed and tuned

A Non IC SC just using a Meth kit will cost exactly that before the install.

Believe me, I just priced both through various reputable shops.

And either can max out a stock bottom end easily.
