is F/I even worth it right now?

theres a guy over in the v6 section (it should be on the first page i just saw it today) has passed 520k miles on his 03 v6 with no major maintenance. 100k used to be a feat to hit, but not today on a properly maintained car.

well, my car had a S-trim vortech from 30,000 to about 80,000. Engine was rebuilt at 50,000 miles. at 80,000 miles or so, I upgraded to the T-trim, and that's been on there for 30k miles without any hitch at all.
So right now, there's 60,000 miles on my engine, all of which were under F/I, and all of which were at a decent power level too, hell a lot of them were racing miles, so yeah, don't fear the FI

I just hit 20,000 a few weeks ago and made me cry a little bit. Ive decided that I cant take the risk of having my engine fail on me do to over powering it. So Im gonna build a 5.4 over the next year and install everything then. Hope it doesnt cost to much to build a 5.4. I wonder how much I can get for my engine in it now... Good luck and boost the **** out of it!! (well not too much)

Your car is what you want and make of it, if you think that F/I would make it more suitable to your taste then add a blower. If not then just enjoy it for what it is, just remember as fast as your car is there will always be some one just as quick or way faster then you.

I know people that supercharge at 120+K, mileage shouldn't even be an issue when decided to go supercharger. The motor is either in good shape or bad shape regardless of miles. If the compression checks out, oil pressure remains steady and correct, and the car has no sorts of wraps or knocks its no different supercharging at 40k miles or 140k miles thats just my opinion.
