I always had my best luck around 20-22psi on my street tires.

the drag strip is alot of fun, i use to use the test and tune nights to tune my car. However after a few trips I just went for fun, if you want to get your ET down a bit a good set of drags on some old 15 inch v6 rims would be nice. Also weight affects your trap speeds alot... I ran a 13.4ish at almost 105 after removing the rear seats, spare tire and front antiroll bar on a npi short block with stock pi parts. That is basically what people run with cams in these cars

Glad you had fun!

OP, you still have good weather there? Here in Nebraska we have constant low 70's high 60's for a high! It's just great! Wonder if some tracks will stay open a couple more weeks...

Your 60's are killing ya. DEFINITELY got 13's in it. A little rule of thumb....for every tenth off your 60' is 2 tenths off your 1/4 mile time.

Great to see guys going to the track!
It is very addicting, so be aware you will be spending money to drop the ET now.

Lose the cameraman and you would be right around 13.85. The 60' times have a lot of gain to be found. Keep practicing and a pair of DR's would be a huge help. I can easily see you running 13.3's with DR's, no passenger and a little practice.

It is all about having fun, so it sounds like you have that covered already.
Nice job!

Kugz, I'll definitely take just about any Floyd song any day over most of the crap my friends tend to listen to.

Right now, Im running Kuhmo Ecsta Supra's. Just what was on it when I bought it. Guess this weekend I'll try dropping them down to 20psi or somewhere around there.

I found a BUNCH of Weld Prostar 15" wheels on corral for pretty cheap, but I wasn't really sure about driving to the track on 15 inchers with nice thick sidewalls. Just seemed like there would be a lot of flex in them.

How hard is it to remove the rear seats anyways? Really don't have much use for them anyways, so might as well lose some weight.

gif- It's not too bad here, some days 70's some days 60's and colder, just never know.

1SLO85, yeah I know they were bringing me down a lot, I just kept retardedly dumping the clutch and gunning it, causing wheel hop, which then made me back off.. Well, I think you probably see where this is going.

blue, Im hoping to get down around there eventually, but the DR's just depends on if I come across a good deal before winter comes. The camera man can be considered lost, he's taking his own car next time.

Hey man!
The Wolfpack Auto Racing Club is heading down to Rockingham this coming Saturday, Oct. 30th. Shoot me a note if you want to hook up and go down with us. The group is a very laid back bunch of students with all different kinds of cars. It will be a fun time. I encourage you to come along if you can.

Do you still have the stock gears? It seemed like you were at the 1/8 before you had to shift to 2nd lol.
