REALLY stupid question, but about launching...

If youre spinning, dont dare try to powershift. My car blocks me out of 2nd when I'm spinning and powershifting into second.
There is some good knowledge here. Just dont try to over-drive your car the first time at the track. Baby steps my friend.

ive powershifted my car since day one and its fine. if you want to be as fast as possible its the only way to go. like for example back when my buddy and i had the same mods we would always do a 40 roll for fun. when i would powershift to 4th i would jump and car while he was speed shifting.

if your on street tires which i assume you are your prolly gonna need to keep it under 2000rpms on launch and slip the clutch..if you do have drag radials try dumping at 3k.
on street tires just do a little burnout to clean them off nothing more. on the 1st run i woud powershift into 2nd just to see if it would hold tracton or not but yes if would want the absolute best times power shift the F out of it.

Friday was my very first time ever down the 1/4 mile, and I think the best advice is to just have fun. Dont get yourself too worked up about how your going to launch, because at least if your anything like me, you'll be way to excited to even concentrate on it too much your first time. Be warned though. You'll be hooked on it after the first run!
