Are there different fuel requirements needed for different F/I setups?

Cost wise the Ford GT pump would be a better choice IMO. I was talking to Ox and he said he wouldn't take the GT pump over 450hp. Only downfall to the GT pump is that it takes a little modification to make it work, if you consider that a downfall.

I'm actually not quite sure how much HP a focus pump and bap can support. I read over on corral that a guy said he was running 465hp on a focus pump and bap.

EDIT: I have read that a lot of guys with upgraded fuel pumps drill extra holes into the fuel basket. That way the pumps don't suck the basket dry under heavy loads.

Very interesting stuff guys...Lets keep it coming! Kerns, do you have any plans to build your car more? Would you have to swap out your current fuel setup to do so?

It's also advisable to switch to an 03 cobra tank for high hp plans because of the baffling.

Correct^
Plus at the HP level you are looking at, the Cobra tank/pumps will suffice without the need of a BAP

Yea, if you can get an 03 cobra tank from a wrecked car with pumps still intact, that will work perfect for you to make up to around 500rwhp.

Teej pretty much hit the nail on the head, though i would like to say i am pretttty sure if you get 39s from a cobra you need a special adapter to work on the GTs or even older cobras.

You don't want duty cycles too high, i've been told you don't want them too low either and 80% is a goodish number. For a rough reference

400ish=42lbs
550ish=60lbs
725ish=72lbs
800?+90+lbs

i think i've seen like 110lb injectors before, maybe it was 112, car made like 1500whp lol.

Cliffy Posted up about this a while back, and he showed the calculation for fuel consumption for a given HP level, and what a focus pump for instance would max out at, and the duty cycle of the injectors, etc.

no, not at all. To make power you need fuel and air, the more air (Blower/Turbo etc etc) the more fuel is needed, same amount of air from either resulting in the same amount of fuel needed.

MAF IIRC 95mm will suffice for that much power.
