yes you are correct. theres 1 cam in each head on a 2 valve, theres no pushrods. thats the older 5.0 motors.

yeah i see you with the 4v. but at the end of the day it still has (MOST) of the same weak internals that the 2v has. the crank is stronger but the rods and pistons are the same (the rods always being the first thing to go, they are the weakest part of the motor). so continuing to run your 427+ hp your just going to snap another rod sometime down the road. and its also going to be a used motor ontop of that, so your going to be swapping in a motor that already has what, 100k+ miles? you will get better power with the 4v yes, but i still say you should buy an MMR shortblock.

mmr shortblock will run you about 2500$ and you can swap your heads, cams, timing cover, accessories, everything over to that motor. and it will take a hell of a lot more abuse than an older cobra motor. its going to run you about the same price as buying a used non forged cobra motor that already has miles racked up on it.

actually the 600s (600hp max) are on sale for 2300 and the mmr900 (900 hp max) is 2700$

So your telling me that I can just take off my accessories and my heads and swap them on this block no problem? Wont I get better performance with some newer heads or are mine already the Ford Racing PI heads? (I think that they are I'm not 100% though) and will I need to do any rebuilding to them?

Also what setup should I run with that MMR600? all those options it has has me wondering what I should get added on..I know I want the windage tray but the rest of it I'm not too sure about and will I want High or low compression with my super? If you can't tell this is my first modular and supercharged car...my last car was a 1997 Camaro Z28 with a 383 stroker so I'm not too sure about the modular blocks yet and still have a lot of reading to do!

You can build your own shortblock and throw together a 4v engine for less then $4000.

Skip the windage tray it's a waste on these engines, don't go to low on the compression for a street car shoot for aroune 8.8-9.3.

I have a set of stage 3 ported 2v heads I'll sell you for cheap.
