Hey,

Well my mustang still isnt tuned, and may not be this year. I got a base tune and was ready to bring it in, and all of a sudden it would not idle. Then it was hard to start. WTF. Long story short, I had a bad TPS, and a vacuum leak. Swapped it out and adjusted, idles fine, but it still backfires and shudders under acceleration, so now I' gonna have to tow into the tuners. At this point I may just wait until spring. Why cant anything ever go smoothly? Thanks for listening, I feel better now.

Hey were you the guy that I had referred to The Shop in Norwalk, CT to get your Mustang tuned? I was just there yesterday.....didn't you tell me that they didn't tune Mustangs?

shuttering under acceleration can be anything and not necessarily tune related. even if you tow it to the tuner, theres a chance something else is bad and they may not even be able to tune it immiedately once it does get there. so be prepared. their baseline tune SHOULD have your car running atleast somewhat smoothly.

I think you're better off expecting something to go wrong every time. That way when things go smoothly, your much happier. Just from my experience, haha,

It's not that they dont tune mustangs, its that they dont have sct software so they cant do base tunes and rely on the handheld to tune.

hey just as my car was somwhat coming toget i crashed it. Dont do that and you will be fine.

Now there isnt any, but I thought a base tune would make the car drivable I had to go somewhere else because Jimmy could not do a base tune for me. Now that the base tune isnt working I may go to Jimmy after all.
