Well I'm gonna get the 4.10 gears. But some one told me a cam would also help is that true? Does a cold air intake help on acceleration? I had a 2002 Camaro ss and I just wanna make my mustang a little faster than my stock 2002 Camaro ss

"A" cam won't do any good...ya need 2...LOL As far as making your 4.6 2V faster than a stock LS1. Start saving. The 4.6 2V does respond somewhat well to bolt ons but NO WHERE near what the LS1 does... Oh and BTW...LS WHAT???? LMAO

CAI is pretty much a waste of time, I'd juice your baby with a nice 100 shot of nitrous. That should do the trick of being faster than your old SS. Question, why did you ditch the SS?

I wrecked and totaled it. I never knew stock Camaro ss was that much faster than a mustang gt. How much am I looking to spend to get around 300hp from my GT

Ya, GT's aren't exactly beastly, well in stock form they aren't. Well, If you're willing to go s/c or nitrous, that would be the quickest way. Exhuast/cams/heads could get you slightly under the 300hp mark, but it won't be cheap.

This ^^^ plus a 3500-4000 stall and some sort of VB mod. The people who are recommending 4.10s for an auto either don't own an auto and or have never driven one with 4.10s. They aren't enough gear. 4.30s are what you want.

Gears, stall and J-mod are really going to wake up your car just by themselves. That is the first place I would start, then LCAs and sticky tires.

LCAs = Lower Control Arms
VB mods = J-mod or a shift kit

4.30s won't make your gas mileage horrible. The rpm difference between 4.10s and 4.30s are minimal and 4.30s will make your car quicker.
