And the gears and the stall aren't gonna do much better without the suspension and tires. I run a 5 speed, stock suspension and tires ran a 2.0, stock suspension and Nitto 315 DR's ran a 1.9, race suspension and M/T 315's ran a 1.759. If I get some 15" wheels, I expect it to be in the 1.6's or lower if I have the power. With an auto you need the stall to get the launch RPM where you want it, you need the gears to help out with the transmission ratio's and get that first gear going on the launch, but you need the suspension and tires to hold it.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but your experience launching your 5-speed does not mean anything to a guy trying to launch an automatic. I hope you reach your goals, but what your car needs is different from what the OP needs. I guarantee that with stock gears and a stock stall converter, that he isn't really hurting too bad from a traction standpoint. How would adding more traction help if he isn't having traction problems? With all the suspension and tires you could buy, you still won't be below 2.0 with a stock stall converter and stock diff gears. Just won't happen with a mild N/A setup.

Given the OPs power level, he would most likely be able to cut 1.7-8s easily with a set of drag radials on stock suspension with the right level of stall and a set of 4.10s or better rear end gears.

I don't know about 12.5s, but you should see anywhere from .5-.8 of a drop in ET by doing a 4.10+ gear install and a 3800+ stall converter. I think you need some weight reduction before 12.5s are really possible given the power you should be making right now. You don't need any crazy suspension/tire setup to do this either. A set of decent LCAs and some MT drag radials should do the trick.

Tires, Tires, Tires.
Don't do anything until you get some DRs. You can easily drop 0.25 off your 60' and thus 0.40-0.45 off your ET just with the DRs. All additional mods will get max benefit if you have tires to hook up with. Gears and a stall would be awesome after the DRs. With 270rwhp, I would think you could get to 12.85 with DRs, gears, & stall.
GOOD LUCK!!!
