Default ford racing m-5400-a kit

I saw this kit at LMR for $500 and it seems like a good bang for your buck for a street car. Does anyone run this kit or know someone who does?

Well first of all I can say that the 01 Bullitt's and Mach 1's do not use the same springs, shocks, and struts.

It seems like a nice OEM handling upgrade package but if you want a good street/strip package, I would probably go wuth something else

yeah im just looking for a nice upgrade for a better handling street car while lowring at the same time even though 1in really isnt that much. I dont know the swaybars are any better the the stock ones on my gt. I wonder if I would be better off getting the c springs and some kyb struts/shocks. for a lttle less money.

Heres what Im running.

KYB shocks/struts
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/KYB-235060/ $59ea
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/KYB-344433/ $34ea
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/KYB-KG4521/ $34ea

Poly isos
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ENS-4-6101G/ $16
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ENS-4-6102G/ $26

Springs
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FMS-M-5300-C/ $164

Total: $460 (shop around, jegs has some prices cheaper along with advance)
I believe when I did mine I spent about $380 just from shopping around, having companies price match each other and free shipping. Mine rides beautifully now, launches good and looks just how I want it. The difference was night and day to me.

what size rims and tires are you running with that setup? I may do that but take the front iso's out to put the front end down a little more.

17x8 cobra R
245 45 R17

FYI my sig pic was before it was lowered, I'll also take a pic tomorrow since I think that was taken before the suspension fully settled.

I'm pretty sure that bullitts and machs do use the same suspension. Both use tokico shocks and struts, better springs, and they do have better sway bars.

I have heard mixed things about this topic. I have heard the bullitts handle better and I have heard the mach's ride a little to stiff so idk. I know the springs in the kit have a slightly lighter spring rate in the front than the c springs but i think they are still a linear spring.

The 01 Bullitt's and Mach 1's have the same spring rate front and rear but the ride height is slightly different. The shocks and struts are not the same too.

Both the Bullitt and Mach1 have 600lb front springs and 250lb rear springs. FRPP C springs are 650lb front and 200-300lb/in progressive in the rear.
