Default N/a 02 gt

I'm going to keep my 02 gt NA and now I'm ready to add a sick cam, any suggestions and how much rwhp will it end up giving me? I have bbk cai, 3.73 gears, pullies LT headers and a borla exhaust. With all these mods o and a tune plus a good cam how much rwhp am I looking at. Does anyone know what. Nic loopy cam with a borla exhaust sounds like.thanks

I would say 260-280. These dont work well N/A unless your throwing down big money. But hell I'll tell you what you want to hear and say 500hp

There isn't much PTV clearance on these motors so you can't really put in much of a "sick" cam. If you want the short answer from a lot of literature, the VT/CMS Stage 1 cams are the best in terms of performance and PTV clearance. If you want the fastest cam that cuts it really close to PTV contact, get the stage 2's.

Yeah there isn't much PTV clearance on these motors and I know a few
guys that got PTV contact with the HighTech Stage 2 cams and damaged
their pistons.Obviously with some Stage 2 cams you can get PTV contact.
Personally I would go with a Stage 1 cam.
I really like the specs on the Comp Stage 1 cams for a off the shelf cam
they are a good choice.

Man up and notch your pistons. Then you open the door for much more selection on cams. But I'm guessing you won't do either the cams or piston notching.

or get a modded intake valve. but if your getting cams and notching pistons you should get Heads too.

Install a set of HiTech StageII cams and you should be over 280rwhp for sure.
I love my HiTech StageII's. I have a similar set-up ran a 12.5@110.55mph on DR's with 4.10's a month ago. They sound nice too!

Guys have made as much as 300rwhp with a decent set of cams and a similar set of bolt-ons as you have.

Here is what LTs, O/R mid-pipe, Borla Stingers, and a decent set of cams sounds like on our cars.
