Post your pics of 305/35/18 555r's on new edge stangs

Google image search wasn't really that great. Anyone have pics of the 305/35/18 555r's on a new edge? Multiple angles would be great. I am just affraid they won't look good and wide on an 18x10 saleen rep.

OMG dude, Thoes rims are sick on the platnum car!!! What kind are they?

01MGGT 11-28-2010 09:08 PM

Okay I am sold after seeing those fine examples lol. Thanks so much for posting the pics. Looks like they will fit great and still look pretty meaty! The 335/30/18 would hae probably had to much bulge on my 18x10s!

01MGGT 11-28-2010 09:10 PM

How do yall think these would look with the black saleens and a 1/4 spacer?! I think it would make them sit perfectly flush with the fender! Now I need to sell my current spacer lol. I think they are an 1 1/2.

DSG !!!! not platinum. Get it right buddy.... but I agree.

natedog 11-28-2010 11:25 PM

Not sure you need the spacer, but it is only 1/4 so shouldn't make that much of a difference. I have 18x10.5 03 cobras out back with 315 tire, and it fits perfectly. Black saleens FTW

Bladerunner 11-29-2010 01:28 AM

Beautiful Cobra's you have Tim!
Wow.. the tires in the pics are huge I think.

WannaBeGearHead 11-29-2010 02:30 AM

Is it just me or is that a lot of bulge on Tim's DSG tires both front and rear?

Timspony 11-29-2010 06:29 AM

^^^ Its the angles!! ...The DSG has AZA Z1 wheels!

PurpleIcedGT 11-29-2010 07:05 AM

Both of Tims cars are a dream come true.....

What tires are you running on your car? I couldnt really find any decent tires that were not $350+ that were 315/30-18. I could have gotten NT01's, R888's, Kumho XS's, or something else for $700 installed...or Michilin PS's for like $800+ lol

Just enjoying life! :)

PurpleIcedGT 11-29-2010 11:40 AM

^LOL, Tim if I ever rob a bank, I'm coming over with cash and a truck & trailer to haul 2 cobras home... :)

why would you want to run a spacer on a 10" wheel? it already pretty much sits flush. i think it would look goofy.

+1 agree

idk why, but I don't like spacers, seem like mustang rice... unless you need it b/c of fitment issues of course

Timspony 11-29-2010 04:41 PM

I have to run a 1" wheel spacer on the rear's of the DSG because of the backspacing on the wheels!

01MGGT 11-29-2010 05:20 PM

I have like 1.5" spacers now to keep the wheels form being tucked so far in since they are stock. a 1/4 spacer would not be ricey. It would only be to make the edge of the tire sit as close to the outside edge of the lip of the fender as possible. A rear view of a mustang with the tires tucked back past the lip looks weak. I think you guys are misunderstanding what I am trying to achieve lol.

Timspony 11-29-2010 05:42 PM

^^^ Get the wheels/tires and experiment!! :)

n/a4v 11-29-2010 07:32 PM

305 is the best fitting tire imo

teej281 11-29-2010 07:54 PM

Now I'm sure someone is trying to up their post count^^^cough cough.

And 01MGGT, get the wheels and see how much a spacer is needed before you buy them. If they arent needed then dont buy them, but if you feel the need to have them after the wheels are on, then get them. Also, gotta make sure you roll them fenders or there will be slices in them tires.

01MGGT 11-29-2010 08:03 PM

Teej are u sure about fender rolling? I know people who have run 315 and 335 with out issues. I only have steeda sport springs so it ain't very low

teej281 11-29-2010 08:20 PM

The minute you weight transfer, those rear springs arent that stiff. Plus if you ever have anyone ride in the back of the car you're gonna be screwed. I would always roll the fenders with any kinda fat tires on the back! I havent gotten around to doing mine yet, but its going to get done without question.

Nobody is allowed on my back seat lol. Yeah I thought about rolling them but am affraid I will screw it up and have even more paint to fix. I'll see what happens once they are on.
