Default Stock style wheel or Cobra wheels

I'm taking a poll. I have a 1999 Mustang GT and currently have the 17 inch option which is the starfish type wheel with the center cap that hides the lug nuts. The thing about the wheels that makes them nice and makes them stand out, is that they are polished. I also have the opportunity to get some polished 17 inch cobra wheels (center cap has the mustang ), they are 17x8 like my current ones. I am having a hard time making the decision, just want to get some input. thx.

theres really nothing to benefit since you arent even getting wider rims, so whichever one you like more. and truthfully if you arent even crazy about the cobras (which obviously you arent since your debating stockers vs those) i would look for a different set that you actually want.....

^ what he said. Most people get different wheels to run a 17x9 and 17x10.5 out back to put some nice wide wheels on. I, along with many others, am running a 18x9 and 18x10 wheels. It depends on what your price range is and what you want out of a set of wheels and tires.

It's more of an appearance thing if you aren't going to get wider rims. The cobra's look nice. Never was a fan of the stock 1999 GT rims. Personally , I love bullitts.

Not worth it unlesss you like the style in my opinion... The 99/01 cobra wheels are nothing to be hyped up about. Idk what people like about them...

The 17" Starfish are the lightest stock wheel offered in 17". I'd keep them. Going to a heavier Cobra 17" will hurt you from a performance stand point.

Yup...when i went to my 18's I noticed a decrease in acceleration the first day driving around with them. I have now got used to them since they have been on for couple of months.
