They are attempting the swap looks like they have worked out a lot of the details but have a few problems to work out.

The power brakes/power steering is going to be a tough ($$) hurdle to jump.

Will be interesting to watch how the rest of the build comes along.

Good motor, bad use of money IMO.

Just build a pushrod and swap it in.. cheaper and in the end will be faster.

I agree.

But it looks like one of those "because I can" builds, where they're doing it just to say they did it. That new 5.0 is cool and all, but there's still better things out there.

I guess I need to drive through a giant puddle of water too... I would be curious to know the final cost of it all, and +1 to sonic, I would love to take one for a spin as well.

This explains the build:

"The Bullitt ended up in some deep water during a typical Florida rain storm and hydro-locked the motor. “I poured about a gallon of water out of the stock intake manifold when I pulled it off the car,” Taylor chuckled. The owner of the Bullitt got a nice check from the insurance company, which funded the Ford Racing crate engine and wiring harness kit."

Well honestly, who "needs" power steering? Lol brakes yea, but you don't need power steering. I like this swap. MMR has a turn-key longblock available for around $9k built for 1000hp. Really wish I could do that with ported heads and cams and run it n/a. Compression is 12:1 and run e85.
