Default Calling KY natives

What's the laws on reprting a car bought. If you buy a used car, but don't want to title it right away and store it. Then say a month later go to put it on the road, do they fine you property tax or anything for the time you owned it?

Like if I buy it this weekend, and the bill-of-sale is dated this weekend as is the title, but I don't register it until January of 2011, I can get billed taxes for 2010 since it was "in my posession" that whole time.

I may have a deal happening soon and the car won't be on the road right away. I was planning on NOT having the title and bill-of-sale dated so I can "date the sale" as being 2 days or so before I go to title it so when it gets to the state level I won't be charged or fined...

Moved from MA so not sure on KY laws.

Thanks for any input!
