Looking to get a mustang this coming spring/summer
I'm still in college but I have a 8 month internship lined up and I'll have some disposable income. I'm thinking new edge gt or sn95 cobra but want to do my research first. I really don't intend to do any boltons. If I get a 2v I'd put together a vortech kit on the cheap, supporting fuel mods, lower it, exhaust and be done for a while. Don't know what'd I do with a cobra.
I had a v6 mustang in high school and my winter SHO was faster than it so I don't think I'd want to go that route. Any opinions on cobra vs gt? I figure with the set up I mentioned the gt would be pushing at least 360 to the wheel. Pros and cons to both?
Thanks

Are you looking at the 5.0 or 4.6 Cobras? If you are talking about the 94-95 Cobra they both can hold around the same power on the stock bottom end. My buddy has a 95 Cobra (full HCI and a 100 shot on stock bottom end) and mine has the stock internals too. We both push around 400 rwhp & 500 rwtq with no issues. We've both been doing for quite some time now.

Large metal forging facility in WI and as of right now I have no set budget.
I'm assuming a supercharged cobra would be faster than a s/c gt pushing the same boost. My first mustang was a prior salvage that we got from an insurance auction and my dad's friend who has a bodyshop fixed it up. Frame was fine, just new rad, hood, front bumper etc. So if I could get a car that way it'd be a lot cheaper and I'd probably be more likely to find a good gt than a cobra...
To those with gt's- do you wish you had held out for a 4v? Anybody have experience with both?

I'm more interested in the 4.6 cobras but I'll keep the 5.0's in mind too
