Default 295/55/15 any bigger?

Is it possible to go any wider or taller than a 295/55/15 using a 15x10 6.5 BS?

I know a lot of guys run 325/50-15's on that size wheel. My friend has those on his rear bogarts for his GT500. Those put 800rwhp down to the ground pretty well.

x2 on the 325/50's

You may need to roll the outer fender lip just to be safe though.

You do that on any setup running wide wheels. Should already be done on OP's car.

Lol im running a 315/35/17 atm and my fenders are not rolled, but theres enough wheel gap that its not currently an issue. So what are everyones opinion on performance the 325/50 vs the 295/65 in terms of hooking.

Well first off, the 295/65 is a 30.09" tall tire. Thats a no-no on our cars right there. The 325/50 is a 28" tall tire and thats about all the taller you wanna go. Plus the 325 width is another 1.2" wider.

I dont know what rear gear you're wanting to run, but I think you mentioned something about 4.30's or something, and in that case you dont want those as you would need to run 30" tall tires with them to hit 120mph @ 6000rpm.

3.90's or 3.73's with the 28" tires would be ideal I'd say.

No wait 4.10s woudl work with a 26 inch tire but with a 28 def will need to go with 4.30s. 4.30s with a 28 inch tire are the equivalent of stock wheels and tires with 3.90s

Whats youre goal rpm for the end of the 1/4? If youre ok with going to 6500rpm to reach 120mph in the quarter, by all means.

Teej I think you are forgetting I'm running a B head 4v which redlines at 6800 compared to a 2v thats about 6. Theres a few people with a similar setup as my car that ran 4.10s with a 28 inch tire and said that it bogged a bit especially on the street.
