Default 2000 Turbocharged SALEEN Mustang? Pass or Buy?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford-...fCarsQ5fTrucks

They would take $13000, I have never bought a car off ebay. I think it might be kinda risky since I will never be able to see or test drive the car before I buy it. Also It's modfied so idk who did all the work before. What do you guys think?

Did you sell the Roush... that in itself was a nice car (your lastest Roush). Or just buying another car lol. I think you've darn near won the title of most mustang bought and sold as a non Ford dealer.

As for the Saleen... nothing is 100% safe but its safer than a private owner. I guess if your that serious i'd call up the dealership and have a talk with a sales rep b4 I made a bid.

Personally, its in great shape for a 10 going on 11 year old car with low miles from the pics, but who knows.

Honestly, I wouldn't even think about it. It looks nice but who the hell knows how that car was taken care of. Was it beaten? Is it built? Is it dyno-tuned? etc etc etc.

Cars are like shoes. Its not something you wanna buy over the internet. You need to be able to try them out. See how it fits & feels before you fork over the cash.

+1, if you can check the carfax too, they are usually on the ebay page itself.
As a side note, did saleen really go down, or is it just restructuring its company as someone told me? Just curious...

you would be missing half of your brain if you bought any car with out test driving and looking at it in person. dont let the shiny paint fool you, but i will agree that it is clean

I say 100% yes. You can part that car and sell the parts for almost what you paid for that entire car if anything goes bad.. Their rating is 100% and have over 1500 ratings.. Thats pretty good if you ask me. Plus i am sure there is a forum member on here that is willing to go and check the car out for you for some cash..

I've bought 4 cars off ebay. Burned on one, but it was a crappy turbo ranger project. Just bought my 99 Cobra vert 3 weeks ago from an ebay dealer. It has a few issues, but nothing I can't fix, and I got a great price. Carfax is super important in this situation. The rating of the seller is very high. The bottom line is you also don't know how a private seller took care of it or what they did or had done either. It's buyer beware in every case. Personally, If I hadn't bought my Cobra, I'd be all over that for that price. That's me though.
