is it worth it to bore the 4.6 out to a 5.0?

im making a deal right now on a new DD so i am thinking my stang will not be a DD anymore(if the deal goes through). And it will be a supercharged block, so i probably will keep it a 4.6 and up the boost. It would be nice having a 5.0 but the price on everything goes up, the rotating assembly and everything goes up a good $600 according to MMR. I think i will keep the 4.6 thanks for all the advice guys.

You do know that MMR isn't the only company out there right? Most places destroy MMR prices.
Ford racing Boss block
MMR-$1699
Proline-$1299
Ford Racing-$1369
Roushyates-$1295
Summit-$1299
That was just a quick search. MMR says nothing about it being machined but if you pay an additional $400 for machining you're retarded.

I know they arent the only company out there, but i know that if i make it a 5.0 parts are going to be more expensive then a 4.6. And ill look at proline and roushyates, i havent heard of them

I dont see why parts would be more expensive really. Is making the bore that much larger really gonna affect the price of the pistons? I really dont think it should add that much money. And MMR says their boss block for $1699 comes machined.

$400 for machining is ridiculous. I can have it machined local for $150.
5.0 would not cost much more seeing that the boss block used the same exact parts as a 4.6 with the only difference being larger pistons.
