thanks for clearing that up, im seriously thinking about getting the stage 2 head/cam package.what n/a cams are you going with? there is several sets forsale on corral
Im thinking about doing the same thing for my 5.4 build. That stage 2 combo just seems like the most bang for the buck.

theyre a pretty good price with Jims Discount too. Do you have to pull the motor to do a head swap with these cars?

Na I dont think so, it would certainly be a lot easier I would think.

Im going to build the 5.4 off to the side though..so I dont have to worry about that lol

No, there's room.

But there are a couple times when you're going to want to throw your cylinder head through your windshield.

No, they heads will come off in the car. 2v is a bit easier than a 4v since the heads are smaller. Leave the exhaust manifolds on, too. There's plenty of room. But you can pull the motor, that makes it easier.

It's very difficult if you are using arp head studs. But if you are not upgrading to studs, you should have plenty of room with the engine still in the car.

Actually, I think it's impossible to do it in the car with head studs. You can probably disconnect the motor mounts and rock it to each side to drop the heads on, but for the effort just take the motor out. I didn't realize he was using head studs.

I don't know if he is, but I was just throwing that out there cause a lot of people don't think about that.

I'll take a look over at corral. I hoping to pick up a used set or a set off someone who never installed them or something cause I will only be running them for about a season. If I can't find a second hand set, then CMS Stage 2s FTW. But I would rather save a little money if I can.
