I ran 17x9's with 275 tires on all 4 corners until they wore out. 245 is too narrow for the 9" wheels. I upgraded to 10.5 with 315's in the rear and they do not rub. The car is also about 1.75" lower than a stock GT. Not many practical options for 315 tires though. I have the Nitto555's.

Be aware that the wider wheels and tires will add additional rotating mass and cost you acceleration and braking performance. So the upgrade will be for looks.

The 315's look AWESOME from the rear!!! Now I need to upgrade to 4" exhaust tips because the factory 3.5" tips look small.

I have 17x9 Detroit Bullet wheels w/ BFG 275/40/17 DR's on the rear. It think that they fit just right.

Why would you not be willing to roll the fenders? Do you even know what rolling the fenders is? It takes all of 5 min to do and your done..

Also... why are you running 245 on a 9" wide wheel.. run 275s

in this order
1. cut your springs
2. save your money
3. buy new rims
4. new tires for your new rims
5. feel like a new man
6. go have lots of sex with some tramp because you now have a cool a$$ mustang.

Im running a 245 on my 9" rim on the front right now bc the 275 were rubbing at full turn. The max with to run with the 245 is suppose to be 9" but they do look kinda stretched I will be running 255s next time if I can after these wear out.

Your 315s wont rub. Why are you "unwilling" to roll your fender lips on your GT? It's not that big of deal, I promise.

Back when I had little tires, I had 315/35/17 BFG drag radials.
