My Christmas gift to myself! 56K Stay Away!!
What's up everyone?? I dropped hints to a few of you that a big project was coming my way. I didn't want to make a bunch of posts talking about because I wasn't positive about money and time and the whole process actually going through. Well, I drove her home today and I must say, she looks absolutely STUNNING! Still to come are dark housed headlights, a nonwarped third brake light, and the black chrome letter inserts which I need to retape and install.
I have pictures kind of summing up the whole process, from body work to completion. It took a couple weeks and was a few days late for Christmas, but I must say, it's the best gift I could have bought myself!
I look forward to your comments!!!
The start of the body work. Day 1 Tearing apart the car. After that was molding the chin spoiler in, filling the holes and license plate frame. The antenna hole was filled, all emblem holes filled as well. The side scoops taken off, metal welded on, and then filled/primed. The rear bumper also smoothed in.
Then came the paint (after all the primer of course.) The wells, jams, and roof were all painted. Then the car put together for the stripe color to be laid. After that, the stripes taped off, and the color sprayed over. Following that, the first clear coat and then the clear coat after polishing.
Color Preview!
Finally, after the remainder of the rubbing, waxing, and detail, I drove her home to take these pictures.
I'm sure someone will comment about one of the changes that I didn't mention but I think make a huge difference on the car. Let's see who's first to notice it!!
-- The color is Alloy Metallic with Tango Mango stripes. I took these with poor lighting but they came out pretty well. I'll try and take some in the daylight tomorrow and see how the colors change!!!

new headlights! lower it! and new wheels but they look okay. and the tips look kinda weird rolled. it looks like the bassani style on 03 04 cobras. interesting regardless. shaved scoops and atenna delete looks nice.
